Primary Treatment
The Primary Treatment program is for people who are entering treatment for the first time or who have had very limited periods of recovery. A customized treatment plan is developed for each patient and monitored by Ashley's team of medical professionals, certified addiction counselors, a dietitian, physical fitness trainer and other staff.
Treatment consists of medically supervised detoxification, individual sessions with your counselor, counselor-led group therapy, educational lectures, 12 Step meetings and daily meditation. Medical and psychiatric care is also available as needed from our full-time medical team for treatment of co-occurring disorders. The nursing, medical and psychiatric staff will work together and with the patient toward the goal of achieving a stable medical and psychiatric status.
Therapeutic activities include meditation, aerobics and yoga with certified instructors, arts and crafts and drumming. We also offer optional daily spiritual services and guidance, as well as a full range of recreational activities.
For men, women and young adults, specialized group sessions are incorporated into the primary treatment plan. These sessions focus on exploring the recovery issues specific to these populations. Father Martin’s Ashley Primary Treatment:
