Continuing Care
Every patient who completes our treatment program leaves Ashley armed with a continuing care plan that is individually mapped out throughout their stay to help sustain lifelong recovery. We recognize that 28 days of rehabilitation is only the beginning of the recovery journey, and all patients will need further follow-up and care.
All counselors make continuing care recommendations for the patients under their care. The counselors work with our Continuing Care team to formulate a recommended continuing care plan to discuss with the patient and, when appropriate, coordinate with input from family members and referring professionals. Our Continuing Care department finalizes the plan and makes arrangements with continuing care resources that may include halfway houses, individual or family counselors, 12-Step meetings, physicians, extended care, outpatient programs and other treatment. Our Continuing Care department also makes the travel and logistical arrangements, when appropriate, to ensure that each patient has a seamless path to their continuing care. Nearly all of the resources that we recommend to patients are ones that we have personally visited or met the director to ensure that they meet our standard of care for our alumni.
Our goal with the continuing care process is to give every patient the tools necessary to sustain the recovery that begins during their time at Ashley. Recovery is a lifelong process, and we show patients how to take the steps necessary to carry on in sobriety after leaving campus. |
