Men's Services
Men face unique issues when working to begin or support a life in recovery. Our Men's Track includes male-only group sessions, workshops, discussions, recreation, yoga, meditation and guided imagery in addition to regular daily group therapy. The Men's Track groups meet three times a week, and are led by male certified addiction counselors. Patients also have an opportunity to attend gender-specific 12 Step meetings. Our nursing and medical staff are experienced in the physical conditions and issues that men often face when struggling with alcoholism and addiction. We have male physicians and nurses on staff and all consultations and treatment are private and confidential.
Father Martin’s Ashley Men's Track explores:
-
Discover family of origin issues and the role of substances
-
Roles and expectations in relationships, individuation, balancing one's contribution to society with spending time with self
-
How men express themselves, anger management and management of emotions (ego and pride)
-
Grief of the loss of one's addiction and acceptance
- The 12 Step foundation, working together with other men, asking for help.
- Spirituality issues with men, trust, and self-reliance
Young adult men will participate in both the programming for the Men's and Young Adult tracks. Patients participate in either the Primary Treatment program--for those without prior treatment or little success in maintaining recovery or the Relapse Treatment program, for those who have had an extended period of sobriety and then relapsed.
