"This was exactly what I had hoped for and more!"

Working a program of recovery requires diligence, perseverance and enthusiasm. The demands of daily life can often stifle the excitement first felt in recovery and dramatic life events can challenge sobriety.
Renew at Ashley is a program geared toward helping people in recovery regain their enthusiasm, learn new recovery support techniques and renew their commitment to a life in recovery. Participants gain insight from Ashley's top relapse professionals and experience the benefit of a retreat with others in recovery.
Think of this as the 400-level course. This program is tailored for those who have a firm grasp of the fundamentals of 12 Step recovery and seek to further explore aspects of living a recovery-enriched life with a diverse group of peers, led by Ashley counselors.
-
Who: Adults over the age of 18 who have three consecutive months or more of sobriety. Participants must be able, both emotionally and physically, to take part in six to eight hours of group activities and lectures per day. If you have a friend or family member currently enrolled as a patient at Ashley, please wait until they have completed inpatient treatment before you come to
Renew.
Any adult in recovery can attend – you don't have to be an Ashley alum to participate in
Renew. In fact, we encourage people from all recovery paths to participate. And, if you are a treatment professional in recovery, this can be a perfect way to re-center yourself and recharge your batteries.
Renew at Ashley is limited to ten or fewer participants per session.
-
Where: Activities will be held on the picturesque, 147-acre Ashley campus. Transportation is available (upon request) to and from local lodging and Ashley each day of the program.
-
When:
Renew at Ashley is offered several times per year. The program runs from Thursday evening until Sunday noon. Participation in all Renew sessions is required for the full program so that the group may fully benefit from each individual's participation.
-
Accommodations: Discounted rates are available at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel has a pool, fitness center, free internet access, complimentary breakfast and a full business center. Transportation to and from Ashley will be offered each day.
Included in your program materials will be a guide for local restaurants, sights, activities and 12 Step meeting locations for your evenings away from campus.
Renew groups are encouraged to attend local 12 Step meetings together or hold their own 12 Step meetings to enhance their experience.
Space is limited to ten or fewer participants per program. The program size is designed to allow intensive personal attention for each
Renew group member.

Historic Havre de Grace, MD offers a wide variety of dining, shopping and recreation activities for
Renew at Ashley participants to enjoy during their evenings away from campus. Pictured above is the Skipjack Martha Lewis, one of the last remaining working dredge boats in the Chesapeake Bay oyster fleet. It offers public sight-seeing excursions in warmer months, and is just one of many fascinating experiences to be had in historic Havre de Grace. |
